Als Lehrer war er an das Konservatorium in Den Haag sowie an die Musikakademie in Glasgow verpflichtet. - The Scottish pianist was a pupil of Bülow and Liszt. He was a European celebrity, especially as an interpreter of Beethoven, Brahms and Liszt. As a teacher he was obliged to the Conservatory in The Hague as well as to the Academy of Music in Glasgow.
