Still without the explanatory notes "Aggiunta", which explain the plates CXXXVII (137) to CXLVIII (148) and which were only added to the later copies. - One of the most important books concerning history of music instruments, which describes the instruments of the collection of the "Collegio Romano", till today a relevant document. The beautiful, carefully worked copper plates by A. von Westerhout reproduce the common and exotic musical instruments, for which the text part provides description and handling. Our copy with the maximum of copperplates.
